Wedding venues in Amalfi Coast and Ravello
I love to be wedding photographer in Ravello and in the Amalfi Coast because these places offer a magic light and stunning backdrops to your Wedding Photographs. The Amalfi Coast is a universe of sea reflections, rocks and greenery with stunning views over the Bay of Naples to the islands of Capri and Ischia. The lush, brilliantly-coloured, highly perfumed vegetation offers all the charm of Mediterranean way of life. This is a stunning landscape set amongst gleaming white rocks, some impenetrable, some opening out into tiny bays, inlets and coves. Man has always had to battle with the steep, inhospitable land here. Space for roads, streets and routes is scarce: houses reach for the sky, stretch along the coast, their colours reflected in the sea, and lie scattered in the maze of steep staircases which cling to the rocks. A little inland from here is Ravello, a world awaiting discovery along the steep and gentle pathways which wind up the Mountain. The sea views are particularly good from exotic Villa Rufolo. Wagner stayed here in 1880 and based the magic gardens in Parsifal on those of the villa. The gardens of the Villa Cimbrone are equally evocative. Ravello's 11th-century Cathedral of San Pantaleone was renovated in the 18th century, but the bronze doors by Barisano da Trani (1179) have survived along with other elements of the earlier building, including an ornate 13th-century pulpit. Your wedding ceremony can be held at the medioeval Cathedral, or more simply in the town hall of Ravello and whilst the main bridal party can be held in a choice of varied hotels in the areas.
